Craigslist. Ad read basically "05 GSXR 600 was stolen and recovered ignition is busted up won't start has wires exposed 17k miles $1,000 cash no trades clean title ran before it was stolen."

I was the first to respond that I had cash not a payment plan or offering less and I could come right then. I showed up figured out the Hotwire job jumped it it fired right up. Battery was shot replaced that and rode it home. Ordered new ignition last night. Need to strip the shit spray bomb job off of it and paint it other than that it's in great shape runs awesome. Had to clean up the shit Hotwire job last night. Paint makes it look terrible but it's in solid shape overall way better than I expected. New tire new battery new exhaust. It's been down but frame slanders did their job. Considering eBay fairings thoughts?

 

Nice pickup, are you going to flip or ride it. If I were 30 yrs younger, I would ride it this year and then sell the following summer for a profit.

Honestly I don't really know. I like it so far guess I'll just have to see how it cleans up first after I remove the spray bomb

 

i mean the paint may look terrible but you go the bike for a grand. can't beat that

 

Ebay fairings are fine, anyone with a little bit of know how can make them look good. May need a little manipulation to make them look perfect but its no big deal. They do tend to be a tad thinner than oem but not enough for me to not buy a set. I would look for one that has a tank cover so you don't actually have to paint anything.

The castrol kit on my rvt is a chinese ebay job, looked great before i tripped over the dog and stepped on one while i was working on the clutch.....

 

Painted stock fairings turned out decent lots of sanding a prep work I'm sure had a lot to do with it. I'll get some pics once I get it all back together and the graphics on it

Also bought an 02 Zo6 roller... got a spare LS3 to throw in it right quick and flip for build funds for this car.

 

I love that you have a spare LS3 just sort of sitting around.

 

I snatched it up as a rebuildable core. When I opened it I discovered it was a dropped valve. I replaced the pistons and a head. Should be good to go. Made 526hp in the 11' SS camaro it was in. Has a better cam and port polished heads. Bumper compression to 12.8:1 with piston change. Shooting for high 500s

Ls3 is now sitting in the car. Waiting on 58-24x box and an alternator. Ran cables to back for batt relocation last night. Hoping to fire it Saturday and tune within a week or so

 

Another rainy ass nasty weekend where I won't get shit done due to not having any space in the garage with the 75 in there and the Vette and a customers TA in the drive �� It's just not fair.

Don't look for an update next weekend either its TX2K so I won't be home for the entire weekend
