So why not let the cops get it? it would be pretty shitty to walk into a chop shop and get shot. or even worse, if you brought a gun, shoot someone then go to jail for manslaughter.

Your absolutely right, anything could have happened. Iny my case, it was a bunch of underage hispanic kids, and i wasnt planning on shooting anyone. These kids looked like they were in highschool. Another idea for Op, or anyone else paranoid about getting their cars jacked. Goto walmart/radioshack get a 2 way motion sensor for $20.00 and set it on your dash at night leave the other one where you sleep. Problem solved
