Re: Pirelli Ultimate Track Car Challenge @ VIR July 22nd
I think their were 2 or 3 Mitsubishi's running including our car
The bumper can detach from the car in a few seconds
The motor honestly looks like ass since we were given the car already swapped. We plan on sorting the motor out and un-rigging some stuff before we post pics hahah
No shit!Very nice. 2:10 is about as fast as I've seen an EG at VIR Full.I was expecting you to say something around that area. 2:03 is fucking moving.
Do you have a build thread for the EG,or more info?Yes,i'm too lazy to search.
The in car video in the EVO is badass too!It actually had me holding my breath with how close he was getting to the car in front of him.Is the view in the video also shot from a GoPro?

It's a college engineering program car that a Georgia shop helped build. Car has a Lexus V8 in it, but I hear it blew up early on. One of the fastest TTA Corvette drivers, Mark Nunally, was driving it.

Here's a blurb from Element Tuning on nasioc:
It's absolutely heart breaking to run 1:56s all day long but to have a transponder malfunction. I didn't know this until it was too late to do anything about it because I was only running one lap so I didn't cross the line and get the TX signal and then they were so late with the time sheets. In any event it worked in practice so they have an official 1:56 time they will is in the GRM editorial but also the Race Keeper people were running a multi-camera setup, telemetry, and GPS timer. I can't wait to see the video.
So while our 1:56 would have finished our Subaru in 4th or 5th overall, Boost Master, Traction Master, and Fastest Subaru it doesn't count. Ok so onto the other Subarus I'm sure you're waiting to here about:
Tony W. Turn In 2:01.309 10th overall
Justin Mathews 2:04.139 16th
That was it for the Subaruw but Whit Staples had the fastest EVO at 2:03.803 15 the overall.
Top dogs the Riley at 1:48.939, Cox in a different Corvette than I highlighted 1:54.958, Ganassi 1:55.37, Juno V6 (it's like a mini lemans car) 1:56.263.
It was 104+ most of the day and I'm whipped so a story and some pics to follow in the days to come along with videos.

Wow he was moving! That is terrible that he had transponder issues. We had that happen to us 1 race and its the worst feeling in world
BTW we ran a 201:xx not a 203.xx
