Some V Dubs are... namely:
Beetles
Jettas
Golfs

Passats, Phaetons, R32s, and Touaregs.... all made in Germany.

NO Audi's (to my knowledge) are made in Mexico. my TT was built in Hungary I believe... Despite sharing many parts and design ideas with V Dubs, Audis are very much different cars.

and dont get me started on S4's either.....

they are nice cars, dont get me wrong, but i personally can find better things to spend 40k on. like rental property.
I don't think MY car is God's gift to the auto industry (although the design, and this is a personal opinion, I know, is way beyond anything under $100,000 out today), but the GERMAN car INDUSTRY has invented every major advancement in the auto industry I can think of in the last 50 years. Between Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, and VW you can list out nearly every safety feature currently used in the car industry today.

S4's aren't all that great. The RS4 that's coming out will be a wicked car though. 420 BHP in a car that's 3/4 the weight of a normal A4. The 2003 Audi RS6 was the best so far in my opinion. 450bhp bi-turbo 4.6 liter (Hemi... even though they can't call it that, it does have hemispherical heads) V8.

And I don't want to hear anything about motorsports... Audi is banned from several (5 so far, I think) forms of professional motorsports, including rally, because they kept winning (more like dominated) and were kicked out. And look at what's going on in the Le Mans series now... Audi won in 2000, 2001, 2002 (a hat trick, all with the same drivers in the same exact car)... then in 2003 a Bently (owned by Audi) with the exact same car won, then a Japaneese owned Audi R8R of the exact same design asnd with the same engine won in 2004. I'm waiting for them to ban Audi from this form of racing as well.

I think my clutch is only a 7 hour job (I'd have to check the service manual), and it still beats trying to change the spark plugs on a Chevy.... what's that... like 36 hours?

What do you drive anyway?

I am not aware of anywhere that Euros hang out at. I would be interested in it though so maybe you should organize something. What is wrong with booking 12.3 hours to do a clutch? I would say they are covering their dealerships.

yes mein furor. seig heil!!!!1

*edit* but from prior posts you have, it seems to me that you do think that your car is special cause its an Audi. case in point:

a simple "i am looking for a quality body shop that does excellent paint work" would have sufficed, you dont have to bring into the equation the fact that your car is a "40,000 dollar german sports car"
a good body man will do great work on anything. the fact that its a "german sports car", and i use the term sports car loosely, isnt germane to the situation.

may not be all that great stock, but they will smoke the fuck out of a TT with minor mods. do a K04 swap on them and watch the shit start flying then.

they are a nice car, but i do not like them. i can find better things to spend my money on.

any real motorsports team is going to do whatever they can to bend the rules. the truely great ones manage to do it and not get caught or banned. those that blatantly do it get banned. see above.

a Quattro TT is 12.6 hrs, base TT is 5.8 hrs.

not like i have either done one or work on them

in case you havent looked....you may want to check my avatar to get a slight hint at what i do for a living. i may not be a rich bastard (probly never will be due to constantly reinvesting my money into my business or our house) but i can wake up every morning and drive to work in my piece of shit car and not have a problem with it at all.

i do not have to have a high dollar car to make myself feel better about myself either, i am happier driving around a beat to hell metro then driving a 3 series, SLK, or something along those lines.
