240sx guys have been using them for years (some with success some without), and here's why I went with ACT.

This SPEC clutch failure tore through the bell housing. This makes me want a scatter shield. whew!

Ok, I know that some people simply install parts incorrectly but, I just don't read this stuff about other clutches on freshalloy (well respected Nissan forum). Take it for what it's worth

wow, tore that transmission up pretty good. I have a few good friends with LS1 F-bodies that run Spec clutches and have zero problems at all with them.

Don't you have a 6 banger? I thought a Stage 4 (for the 6 banger) was rated to 510 ft/lbs. Overkill?

I also wonder how many of these "sucky" clutches are install issues?

If you look closely in your picture you'll notice that none of the flywheel bolts are there. They either backed out or sheared. I don't see how a pressure plate could fail like that.

Yes its only a V6 and I have had NO break in issues. I broke the clutch in for 500 miles w/ VERY Light driving. There are no Intall issues, the clutch is out of warrenty. There warrenty is 4 months i have had it for 6 months. Conclusion, the clutch is a piece of shit.

Yo i got a mildly modded cobra and a spec stage 2. the stage 2 is rated to 540 ft.lbs of tq. you have a v6 so why in the he11 you even thought u needed a stage 3 is plain stupid. my stage 2 has been going strong for 6 months no problems. so when a 200hp v6 says he blew out a stage 4 all i can do it laugh.

First of all our cars have differnet size clutchs, the stage rating for my stage 4 is less than your stage 2, my stage 4 is 510ft/lbs. I am no where near that, so thats why its a quality issue. Im making a little more than 200HP at the flywheel

I'd say install issue. I highly doubt the little hp you are making would destroy a spec 4. I've never had probs with spec and they stand behind their clutches.
