I like STS because its bringing more the Import scene to VA like when Hot Import Nights came here this summer. I give it up to my boy Lo he is doing a good job on the STS here in VA. I just question them dayumn NCCA judges sometimes.

 

Some of their methods and criteria are questionable, but to their credit...........the stock look....paint job,front lip,engine swap,and suspension ONLY,.........6X9's instead of a "custom audio setup" for weight reduction .....cars showing in the competition-with their hoods and trunks closed.......GSR seats-and that's all that's custom about the interior.....never win.
Function over form is cool.......but if I wanted to see cars that appeared stock....or less is more......I'd hit up Eye Candy.


So at least they still have score based judging and didn't go "e"-status quo.

 

I think this show is going to be better than the one in hampton, IMO

 

Should get a bunch of cars together and enter the best team contest. $1,000 prize.

It was a waste of time last year. Team emoticon always wins cause they are in Angelo's back pocket. It's some of the worst judging I've ever seen and the price is fucking stupid. $65 to show $20 or$25 to spectate. Damn! And the facility is way smaller in Richmond than Hampton. Talk about cramped! Waste your time and money if you go. If you bitch directly on the STS site you might get a free invite like me. Just tell him his show sucks and is a major ripoff.

The Best team comp. is not a "most entries" or "most participation" this year. It's a cumulative score of your team's top ten cars.
"Team DragVa" could show up with a thousand "less is more"/"clean" cars........if they're all taking zero's in most of the scoresheets different categories it won't matter how many there are.



...besides, I think there's already a swaps'n'paint jobs crew coming. lol
