so is this motor a reliable high compression motor as of now?

As stated above, anything is possible if planned right and with a good tune. A few short years ago, boosted hondas nevers passed 8.5-9.0 compression ratios. Things have changed. Every boosted honda motor Dameon and I have built is 9.8-10:1, daily driven on pump gas with reliablilty. We choose this compression for the street because it allows for quicker spool times (better throttle response).

When building a motor, certain things play a LARGE role in how the motor will perform. Proper quench distance and ring gaps do wonders for holding back dangerous detonation. That's why choosing a competant builder pays off...you may pay more to have it done, but the motor will last longer and perform stronger.

First off nitrous and High compression can be fine. Its not like a turbo or a super charger. Its chemical not just air forced in. Nitrous also cools the fuck out of your intake tempatures. AS long as your timing tables are good and you run propper gas like (race gas) then your motor will be fine as well. I run a 250 pro fogger ( direct port ) using a nitrous controller where I launch with about 75 hp in about a second and a half later the rest comes in to play. I also run 12:5 compression but then again im not on pump gas either. this is on the sunoco blue

I'm guessing this is on the Camaro, because you got rid of your Z.

you're a fucking idiot.

"nitrous and high comp are sweet together, you just have to run race gas."

NO SHIT, SHERLOCK.

THANKS FOR THAT INSIGHTFUL BIT OF ADVICE. OMG YER A FUCKING GENIUS.
