I actually never thought to look at the caps yet, and the odo: ~105k

With 105k, if your on original ISC, it's most likely shot. Even if it runs for a while with a cold motor, if it is the source of your problems, it will many times act up only after the motor is warmed up.

Have you done the ISC test described here (under REMOVAL)?:
