(It took about 10 seconds. Google images are the best)
I'm not getting it checked out for the money. I'm getting it checked out because I've been hurt in accidents before and suffered on my own time, and my own dime because I didn't say anything when it happened.

I don't expect to get anything, but if anything needs to be done.. I expect him (or his insurance) to pay for it. No pain and suffering bullshit, just pay my medical bills and I'll be happy.
Only thing I want is what's rightfully mine... I'm sueing the fuck out of VW to get the money back from my transmission, so it's only a matter of time.
Just an update.. I spent my entire lunch talking to the police department and the insurance company.
Today was the 4th time I gave the SAME hit and run investigator the information about the other vehicle.. and for the 4th time, he acted like it was the first time he ever heard about it. How do you continue to lose information? I heard him typing as I told him about the car and he asked me questions.... maybe he's typing an email to his wife instead of typing what I'm telling him. Fuck! I always defend the police department when people bitch about them, but this is aggravating! I got rear ended by a drunk driver and they haven't lifted a finger to help me!

Is it easy or at all possible to even get through to the chief of police?
No. I did get him to send an investigator out and take photos and fingerprints. He told me that since it took him 3 days to get there, he couldn't get any good prints. He said he found a partial print, and that if he had been able to take prints right after it happened he would have been able to get several good ones. I told him what I had to go through, and he said he wasn't suprised. He said from now on, don't call and talk to whoever answers the phone, because technically it isn't their job to investigate things, so they won't do it. Call and ask for an investigator.
To talk to the chief I just called the main number and asked for him. It took me about an hour and they bounced me around to about 8 different people first, but I finally got to talk to him.
