no.

The GT (GT40 was made in the '60's) is powered by a aluminum (heads and block) DOHC 32V 5.4 V8 with dry sump oiling and a Whipple blower.

The SVT Lightning is powered by a SOHC 5.4 V8 with an iron block (aluminum heads), traditional oiling sytem and an Eaton blower.

Two ENTIRELY different beasts. About the only thing that both engines have in common with each other is the displacement.

380hp, 450tq......... the crazy amount of torque Lightnings make is where they shine the most.

Couldn't tell ya'. An auto in these trucks is the only way to go. If you look at the competition (SRT-10 Ram) they have a six speed and the throws of the shifter are like that of a row boats. Not to mention, an auto is way more consistant at the track.

Yah I understand that. They are also consistant on the streets.. as a couple people know.
