Actually I thought the cut off line was pretty decent for an aftermarket kit, in a non-projector headlamp.

Athough I think 10k is wayyyyyyyyyyy overboard. 6k is just about perfect imo.

And your taste in wheels is wayyyyyyy overboard imo. haha. 10K is just about perfect.

Throatystang, you might want to look into a retrofit projector housing, but at the same time, with lights off, it would look ricey. =(

4300k is actually perfect. Anything above that is for color, trying to imitate something that might come OEM on a higher end car... IIRC, there are no oem cars that come with anything higher than MAYBE 6000k and I think that was actually in a Maxima; If I recall correctly, it's the projector itself that gives the color at angles--not the temperature of the HID bulbs.

I'll never argue with that lol

And about this retrofitting business... it's a really good idea, but it's fairly involved and expensive, especially if you buy an extra set of headlights to do it on.

I'm actually putting projectors in some spare s14 headlights and getting the FK lenses. We'll see how the project goes...<crosses fingers>

yeah you're right. oem HIDs have white beams, but for example in bimmers they have splitters in the headlight housing so if you look at the beam from the side or at an angle, they look very purple.

I'd love to do a retrofit. Maybe something like this:

i think that the HID kit looks good and the beam pattern looks fine. Yes everyone will be crying because the lights are too bright but im sure they will get over it.

i have had white, purple and blue. all looked fine to me, maybe if APC made projectors for the mustangs we would be in good shape.

HID is awesome.
