I'm pretty sure a hatch even with full interior+k20 swap+maybe slicks=easy 12s. Considering the 91-95 hatch weighs about 2000lbs stock and the k20, from what I've heard, is capable of 250whp or so, I can't see it being a problem.

THis isn't an older hatch, this is a newer SI.

It seem like rallyred was speaking in more general terms of any car with a n/a 4-cylinder.

edit: by "not a tin can" i mean front and back seats, carpet, interior plastic, glass, etc.
not very common at all. My goal is 12's on full interior. If i can do it on street tires, great, but that will probably not happen. Maybe if I had a k24 and some wideass (wider than the 225's I have now) tires up front.

Anyhow, the car is my DD for now so i'm not willing to give up TOO much comfort, although it has a really loud exhaust right now and I love it.

Its not a DD but my CRX has gone 11.75 @122mph on the motor. 12's are very common these days on the motor (atleast out west). My 94 hatch ran consistant 13.5's on street tires with a bone stock R under the hood.

One seat, full carpet, full glass, roll cage, all plastic pieces except two rear side pieces (maybe 2 pounds each), and I removed the heater core. As I said, its not a daily driver but it is registered AND insured.
