WHAT IS DUAL VTEC?!?!?!?!?
Good article! Bottom is all about the 3-stage VTEC in the D15B's. They are rare to find most are just regular VTEC's!

Gsr's do not have dual stage vtec at all, they have dual stage intake manifolds which is designed for low end torque also giving a amateur the impression they have some sort of "dual stage vtec"
i had a 2 stage vtec i bought off ebay and the only reason i did was because it was like 600 dollars shipped. the car i bought had no motor it was a ex and had the p2p ecu i think. me and a friend hooked it up and it was a very nice motor. the first vtec is like the vtec-e but gave it a little more bottom power and the second vtec kicked in like a b-series. i think if i recall right it uses half the intake valves until the 2nd vtec kicks in then it goes to the rest. because you could really hear vtec kick in on the intake side. its not a joke and u can ask a few people on this site that know me because they all seen it. 2 vtec silenoids and for a d15 alot of power.

Just to continue beating this point into the ground, no, there is no 2-stage vtec or dual vtec or anything like that on a GSR. It's a standard single solenoid vtec setup and also has seperate set of intake manifold runners with a set of bypass butterflies. Yes, there is another solenoid for the intake butterflies, but it has as much to do with vtec as your door pop solenoids do.
