I never would have thought getting a stripped out car back would be so much trouble. USAA needs me to release the car to them so their estimators can look at it. I call the Jersey PD, and first they have no record of my car. Then they find it and tell me I have to come pick it up. I explain to them that USAA is getting it for an estimation. So USAA needs a notorized letter from me, plus my registration and proof of insurance. I tell the cop that my registration card was in my glove box and he says to get a copy. So, I call DMV to get a copy and they ask for the title number. I ask them where that information would be and they tell me it's on the registration card. So, I'm like, hold up... I tell you my registration card was stolen with my car and in order to get a copy I need information from it. Well, I can't get that information for you. The lady just says, sorry, I guess we can't help you then.

So, anyone know how I can get a title number or a copy of a registration card with out already having the registration card?

Man... I'd call back up to the DMV, better yet, suck itup and go up there. They've always given me information. Just tell them to check your information against the information they have in the computer. It really shouldn't be that big of a problem. It's just another person too lazy to do there own job.

Yeah, I'll probably just go there tomorrow. I would today, but I'll be at work late and then I've got school. I'll just have to keep talking to people until I get the information I need.

Atleast you didn't have to wait 30 days and then wait on the insurance! Then talk(battle) with USAA on a price! I've lost alot of money on one of my cars that was stolen! They totaled it out and I had over 10k in receipts of aftermarket parts- I got $.10 or less on the $1.

I totalled up my list of mods I've done to the car and came up to a little over 4K. But, I don't have any of the reciepts, so I'm probably screwed on that. As long as they atleast pay off what I owe, I'll be happy.

You know guys just thought Id tell you about a insurance that covers modified cars, but its kind of hard to get. But you can try. I pay 600 a yr for 30k for my car.American collectors insurance. MY blue book for my car is like 6k but i, but if my car is ever stolen i get 30k for it. They cover all parts as long as well documented. Also cant be a daily driver. My is a weekend warrior so I fall into that class. Good luck

Good tip on the insurance. I'll check that out when I'm ready for my next project.

USAA has my insurance and my auto loan. So, hopefully they can give me the info. Thanks man
