? what type of swap for a 1990 CRX??
If it's a Si, then any d-series or zc is pretty much a straightforward swap.
Another very common swap is using the stock block with a z6 or y8 vtec head. Or just doing a complete d16z6 swap. Doing the z6/y8 will get you about 20 hp at the crank over a stock Si. If you have a dx crx you're going to have to convert to mpfi for any of the mentioned swaps, or any b or h series swap for that matter.
As has been said, any other swap is going to require new mounts, shift linkages, axles, and wiring. And if it's a hf, you're also going to have to replace the front hubs, lca, etc. www.d-series.org would be another site I haven't seen mentioned yet with lots of good info.
For the best swap though? My money would be on a k20 or k24.

Yuck. I don't know why people waste their money on ZC swap's for real. It's nothing really. He's trying to have a track car as well, and to have a track car, you have to have money. Yes, A ZC may be cheap, but D-series aren't such a great platform to start with as a B-series is. Instead of spending almost 8 grand for a k20 swap. You could have a Nasty B-series swap boosting and it be built! It's really all in "favor" to most people.
