I would like to submit a challenge to shawn lozy....

dont take this offensively and start ethuggin here, I, as much as everyone here, would love to see his make such power myself, but I know what some people on here do not, and care not to know and simply make assumptions after briefly talkin (if talking in person ever at all) to the guy.
I hope everyone has had a chance to calm down.
I don't know why whenever a thread about Shawn Lozy comes up everything gets WAY out of hand. I don't care how much you hate him or love him (or each other), you still have to follow the rules.

Sometimes people on here really suprise me with the things they say and think they know about. The car was one of the first if not THE first WRX in the US to go into the 11 sec bracket back in 2002. I ran 11.5 passes with 400 AWHP. THe setup after that we had 636 AWHP and spun a bearing in the motor and were never able to run it...... the new set up is far stronger and bigger than the last and the reason why the number "700 plus" is being claimed is due to a guy in Iceland that is running a similar setup to mine ( I have a few more tricks than he does) and he has 730 AWHP and runs high 9 sec passes. I have the video of it.
There have been issue after issue with the car and there always are problems when you build a high horsepower race car....... The car will be back up and running shortly and I have no problem showing off the car or talking about the car.

He built the car the way he wanted it, he didn't give it to the shop he works for and go, "hey, build me a 2342344 hp show car."
So this sounds a lot like Fat Nick to me. "I'm doing all this stuff that should equal x amount of HP and I have a x.xx second car."
Reality of the matter is, from what I read, you have nothing. Sounds like the motor isn't even put together yet. Since I want to put a Kenne Bell and lots of other parts on my Cobra, can I say I have a 600HP car? That seems to be the big thing to do nowadays.
Bottom line is: Don't claim shit until you have shit to back it up.

Being on the outside looking in... I can slightly see where the hostility comes from. Even in his signiture, it states 700+awhp. The car does not nor ever has put down that power... not hard to see why people have a problem with that. Its alittle different than the guy next door saying he has this and that because the car has already proven itself in the past (as has the builders apparently), but its hard to get away with claiming something because someone else with the same mods made this much power. Doesn't always work that way.
Brian... you're car is fast... but you got balls calling something out that has already put down in the 600's an been featured in magazines.

No, because this situation is different. Like you stated, you WANT to put a Kenne Bell on your car. So you are saying that you don't have the part yet. Shawn has EVERYTHING. He has everything he needs to put the car together EXCEPT for the case because *like i said earlier* OF THE SHOP THAT WAS PUTTING THE SLEEVES IN THE CASE. The motor WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE Months ago, if it had not been for this. Like Shawn said, someone who is running almost the exact same setup has 730, so wouldn't you believe to be making around the same?

There are major flaws in that reasoning. Are you knowledgable of the time it took the owner of that car to tune it to 730awhp safely or even the capabilities of that tuner. Yall as confident? Just saying... there are a ton of factors that could limit a car (altitude, fuel available, tune). I haven't been around the car game that long... but you just don't run around saying you'll make this much power because someone else did. If he's saying this is my goal, or this is where I think I should be... that's fine. But being so definite on a figure based on someone else's work/success is a bit nieve.
