We do it all. were already backlogged as it is and turning jobs to other shops.
No time to work on our own rides, lol . The main reason we never really advertised is because the work came to us. But thats about to change
shops being moved

All good info in this thread and mostly dead on the money. Take it from me, it's alot harder than it looks to make money selling speed parts. Ebay, Summit & Jeg's are only the tip of the iceberg when you start to talk about the death of the local speed shop. ELD 2 made it less than a year for a lot of reasons but the bottom line was money or the lack thereof. I would most certainly NOT reccomend it as a way of life for anyone unless you have 2 or 300K you don't care about for 3-5 years.

Joe's waiting on the LT1 block to be finished, hoping for some 8's this year
My 06 is a toy, and alot of fun. its been a while since i had a (street car)
and for some reason i cannot leave it alone. atleast until i pull an 11 out it
which should be doable with some sticky tires . I promised the wife that i would not put a cage in this car .
It was good to see all the regular guys out again , Even saw Ian grab a little
air on his new best before i left.

but back on subject, most if any shops in this area need to versitile with all makes, cause they all bring the green, for a while we stocked the basic bolt ons and it evolved to tuning , tuning and more tuning. and its been that way
for years whether it a full blown DFI,FAST etc set up or a quik tune on a diesel work truck. and like Richard said its almost impossible to compete with mailorder, though it is nice to be able to go pick it up when you want. I wish the best to all current and upcoming shops. the more the better

There are alot of people out there selling and many have kick ass prices.

For my black deep dish bullitts for instance. I shopped around because I knew what I wanted and certainly wasn't going to pay extra for no reason. Mustangtuning had them for a decent price and it ended up like a tad under 600. Another local vendor offered his at a special price, but wasn't the color I wanted and I ended up going to a Florida speed shop that was locally owned and operated and I got them for $516 to my door. Same guy that got me my Maximum Motorsport C/C plates for 140 to the door and MM LCA's for 190 to my door. He offered great fast service at an unbeatable price. However that wore him down when he was doing it for alot of people on a few Mustang sites.
