The rest of the exhaust is aftermarket 2 1/2 and they put extention pipes on the front and the rear of the cat that were smaller than the stock hf exhaust pipe!Tell me that wouldent matter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My question still exists? Cause im boosting soon and I don't have an Aftermarket exhaust and I don't want to blow my motor up. So If I was boosting, on stock exhaust, would there be any problems or would I barely even reach boost at all?

you probably just wouldn't boost very high.

the stock WRX exhaust is hella restrictive. I got a UTEC and used it to try to up the boost but it just wasn't happening. The exhaust couldn't flow quickly enough to spin the turbo into such high boost levels before i was reaching the end of the power band. It was a huge pain in the ass. As soon as i got a new exhaust(4 " down pipe, and a catless 3" system) it has no problem at all reaching the desired boost levels.

back on topic:

did you have any kind of knock sensor or hear any detonation. It's not that hard to hear, it will sound like a "click" in the motor. It's loud enough to be heard over an exhaust note and turbo noise.

Alright, that's what I needed to know! Now, I guess I just need to find someone with a Tig welder. Damn carl, Your LSvtec was nasty. It was super quiet, didn't make any noises and then josh told me that your shit blew up on you

Not as much as a non-existent tune. You're telling me a shop sold you a "pre-tuned" ECU and you still think an exhaust bottleneck blew up your engine?

a small exhaust just restricts, it dosent cause damage, blow by, over boosting and detonation cause damage
