burgundy MKIV Supra at VA Beach UPS?
I have a 6-speed MKIV Supra, and I had a TH-400 auto conversion Supra (turbos of course). Both were built for A PURPOSE. I'm currently looking for another Auto 2JZGTE Supra, and that's because nothing beats the hassle-free shifting of an auto (especially in NY or VA Beach traffic). However, and auto is not as fun as a manual on some days.
Bottom line, it's preference. What's "ghey" are the people who can't understand the difference and assume one is always better than the other.
What's even "ghey'er" is the fact any N/A Supra owner would put a non-working intercooler on their car.
It's preference nothing more. And unless your name is Ryan Woon who can rip though the 1/4 in the 8s on a 6-speed, you'll never understand.

Well.. to break it down a little better. The Auto will be better for a race off the line since it has almost no boost lag between shifts. Longer gears... and no shift time. Pluse you can boost it off the line. But in a drop down race.. the manual has much better control of its RPMs and in a top end run the 6 gears help out alot. I have to say that with a quick shift and good set of tires. the manual trans Supra would get the Auto in the long run. Also has alot to do with the driver. But in the quarter mile. I dont see the Manual trans catching the auto. Just off the auto not having any shift time for those 4 shifts the manual has to do. 4 shifts at loosing .1 secs a shift is almost half a second in the quarter mile.

yeah we painted that car here at nushine. about a year ago. it has shaved trunk holes and the kit is molded on minus the front end. the intercooler is bolted on but not yet hooked up. he has a turbo setup that he was going to put on but i guess never had the time. pretty nice looking car. i'm writing this twice because apparantly some of the posts got knocked off.
I chose an auto because I knew I would put a TH400 in it, which is shifted "manually" by the way.
If it is the guy I'm thinking of his name is vogel and as was stated before he does have a turbo kit just haven't installed it I believe the intercooler was installed for bumper fitment before paint. real nice car
