Check out my tread . I was trying to get my car painted on a budget as well, and everyone laughed at me.

I got it done really reasonable. My girl just had her car painted there as well a few weeks now, and it came out really great as well.
This is the Macco in Portsmouth. They usually have the supreme level paint job on sale for $300. If you need the old paint stripped off your car, they usually do the paint job for a total of $500 with a 4 year warranty.

Check them out.

damn that isn't too bad when it includes a warranty.

Maaco might be an even better deal... personally I'm going to Elite b/c I want a show quality paint job but if I wasn't I'd be going to maaco for the warranty..

haha. sorry....BS.....your too damn picky to go to maaco for anything, and you know it. hell i was scared to paint your car for fear of anything being wrong you would freak and thats why i didnt spray that 3 stage of yours at the time cause i was not comfrotable with it. now i can do it no problem, but you know the quality of work that comes out of maaco and the crap material they use and you wouldnt be having it. if you go to elite or any other good shop. you dont have to worry about a warranty because its prepped right and the materials are good so the paint job would outlast any warranty you might get from maaco and we would fix anything that did somehow happen to go wrong....

oh trust me....that was not my idea at all, i was pretty much against it but leo owns the shop, leo makes the decisions and thats the end of it..that is a 10 car special just to get some advertisement and publicity and the name out, it may say 650 but there getting a hell of a better job than that, our average job is around 2200 and we of course use chromabase, premier, kirker for candy paints etc..i dont like spraying anything other than chromabase or chromapremier myself. the 650 job is a straight up prep and paint with tamco/valspar or nason base and the silver series clear or nason clear, its not the best, but its pretty decent stuff, there is no bodywork included in the special and your mainly paying for all the labor and prep time, if the bodywork is horrendous than we wont spray it without fixing it first, cause we dont run over it just once with a scuff pad like maaco, well knock it down with 320 , go over it with 400 and then wetsand with 600 so your paint is not gonna fall off in a few months like some maaco crap. but i personally dont like spraying anything other than chromabase at the minimum myself. you can upgrade the paint and pay for the added price which is what ive been reccomending to the people coming in for the special simply because of the spray quality and the matching ability of the better paints just incase they get in an accident or want something fixed with chromabase or premier its gonna match so much better and it just lays and covers alot nicer, ive tried explaining that to the customer, but its up to them if they want to pay for it. but for all over jobs the nason and the tamco stuff are not too too bad, not my personal reccomendation, but it will last a good while and it still has a nice look after being buffed, which is usually neccesary after spraying that clear, damn sure is a pain too buff, kinda hard but the finished product ends up looking pretty good.
