Machine shop in Richmond?

Oh Ballos....lmao....do a search for ballos on here or any of a number of other local boards to get the low down on them. They'll never get my business again, that's for sure. Especially after coming online and threatening me 3 years after I told the truth about how they do business. I've had nothing but good experiences with Laurel Machine on Woodman Rd. Davis used to do all of our machine work when I worked at Cavalier Hyundai. Also, heard nothing but GREAT things about Lewis at The Shop.

As a matter of fact, why don't I just link you to the story about how Ballos treated me as a customer...

I've called Ballos before and they have never called me back. I used Laurel Machine and eventhough they were cheap and got the job done I dont know if I would trust them for a big job. But then again, I dont know their capabilities for large jobs.

its not hard man , just need a ring compressor , rubber mallet , tq wrench , and assembly lube . are the pistons already on the rods

yes the pistons are on the rods, and i could probably do it, but i was reading about having to fit the pistons rings individually by measuring ring gap and bearing clearances and all that. i'd rather just have a profesional do it

anyone know any good shops?

ok, so he'd be able to assembly my motor? does anyone know how much putting pistons, rods and crank in will cost?

Laurel also assembled Sam's (EFI4EYE) 306 on his Mustang.

ive heard alot of good stuff about express racing and machine on jeff davis hwy. thats where i plan on taking my rotating assembly to get balanced.
