what could i run with these mods?
Slicks will help improve his time. Just because a practically stock integra wont have traction problems doesnt meant slicks wouldnt help. He can launch from a higher rpm and not have wheel spin, and he wont loose any traction from his 1st-2nd shift whereas he would with street tires. So if he has them why not use them?
when i ran the 16...i spun all through 2nd ..jusst tapping the gas through 2nd,......but yea slicks will help me a lot i think..have had a lot of people at MRD tell me that on street tires i shouold run mid-high 14's....and slicks dip in high high 13's
Im runnin a 94 GSR in my 99 EK, best time i could get is 12.8 on 112 octane, 8.5:1 pistons, stage 4 clutch, 8.5 lb flywheel, p&p head, LSD, 2.5 inch exhaust into Magnaflow muffler, no weight reduction, no A/C, no P/S, BF Goorich HP4 street tires, VTEC at 4900, redline at 8500, and a warm track. Did melt the tires a but, but it did they did the trick, and stayed sticky for a couple runs.
my old hatch that had an ls/vtec gsr head full itr valve train ran a 14.8 with vtec not working so i guess it was just a ls with itr valve train. i never got to run the car once everything was working right but i know that it would beat slightly modded type-r's. so you sould be on the right track with your numbers.
mods mean jack...driving is key for any car.....my bone stock 2000 gs-r sedan went 15.4@92.8mph at jackson,sc near augusta,ga were i just moved from...drivers make the difference...with these mods mid 13's are possible....but only if you drive it correctly.....my.02
