pull in clutch, apply throttle, release clutch.... it's not that complicated, lord. most newer 600's make plenty of power. who's having trouble??
hell, i'm sure it'd power wheelie just fine too. run it up to about 7-8k rpm in first, chop the throttle and then smack it open again. it'll come up.
There are lots of new guys riding them and posting that they're having problems pulling them up on gixxer.com. It's nearly a daily occurance that a noob makes a thread about having problems with them (k6/k7 600/750) coming up.
And yes, your on-off-on technique works great for bringing them up.

yeah i would have to agree with him about the noob wheelie threads and there already giving the k6 gixxers a bad rep
(it's all in your skill level and technique)
Definitely. They also probably sell 20:1 nationwide.
Which is why I can say *puke* It seems that is all people ride. The comment was meant to be more for comedy then serious. So do not take it as an actual attack. You know 500's are the shit anyways, you wish you could handle a 500...all...42-50 horses of power. :P

Shit, you know I was joking. lol There are tons of 600RR and other bikes around. What's funny is that all the 600s actually sell about the same # of units nationwide. In England I couldn't believe how close the numbers were. They were all within 100 of each other or so.
