m5board.com is a pretty decent board, but there are definitely a lot of other great resources as far as BMWs go. You should bring your father out to a couple meets come spring time. If he likes cars as much as you do (which it looks like he does, haha) he should have a great time. People on this forum can be assholes (myself included) but as long as you keep your head on straight you'll be just fine.

When's the next big meet planned? If its nice that day I'll see if he can get the 996 out. It's got just a titch over 10k on the odo. He needs to work it out more often lol

I'm not sure about VADriven meets, however there will definitely be some discussion about it later on in the season. I'm sure that bimmerforums and rennlist will be having meets also, they all should have some great turn outs.

i don't believe it. i've come out to a few of the meets, most are bucket srt-4's. only really nice car i saw i liked at the meets ever was the red turbo t/a.
