you totally missed my point... how come classic car owners and (most american muscle car owners) that go WAY beyond stock dont get the same kind of harassment.... if you think they do, youre living in a dream. there is a clear disparity in the amount of attention import drivers get

wtf?? there is no way in hell you can make a generalization this wide! every TUNER knows that there are a LOT of cops that are out to get tuners (and late model upgraded muscle cars)... and the laws against tuning are straight bullshit for the most part...
case in point... cops ALWAYS show up to run off tuner meets.... but ive never seen them come to Janeros to raid the old schoolers
be real about it... TUNERS are dudes that mod imports and compacts (i.e. Foci, Cobalts etc) a cop will fly right by a good ole fashioned american muscle car (mustang, camaro, corvette) etc with a non-stock engine, loud ass flowmasters breaking windshields and shit, and pull over a honda or nissan thats modded.

One thing to keep in mind, is the Jenros meets happen in the day time, and is sponsered and allowed by the businesses in the shopping center. Most of the "tuner" meets are at midnight in an unauthorized location. Plus its not often someone acts like a jackass at jenros, its pretty much a sure thing at the late night spots.

and you continue to generalize... 5 ride alongs... wow.... your basically a vet... i didnt say they werent good cops.... the last big meet, in chesapeake got raided before it even started basically.... but EVERYTIME ive gone up to janeros to check out the ole school rides they are high revving their big blocks like mad and trying to show off so they can feel young again...
I go to Jenros nearly weekly and I have yet to see people "revving their big block" or acting like a fool.

also...when it comes to the exhausts... isnt there a law that if the vehicle is older then a certain year it doesnt have to have cats? maybe thats why some of them are so loud...but anyway...this dude needs to give it up....hes losing..and not gonna win

Yes there are heavily modded american muscle cars driven by older folk - but they dont drive like high schoolers in traffic. Im not saying they wont or shouldnt get a ticket... but they are less likely to get one by classification. Yeah it sucks.

i have a door sticker that says the car was equpiied with slp exhaust, different springs, shifter, etc etc
im on the stock slp exhaust but in the future it will give me an excuse to have a loud as shit car as long as i have that sticker.

1. I want to stab you in the neck. 2. I feels its all based on how the cop feels, so I go with the general conclusion. Iv seen cops pull over tuners and muscle cars. I got my tickets doing dumb shit, but Iv also been pulled over for just driving, (STOCK 240 lowered no exaust or anything) doing 2 below because my car was shiney. *shrug* ehhh whateva.
