I spent a weekend in jail.. It was crummy enough to slow me down--that's for sure. It's not a place where I'd really enjoy spending any more time.
When I got in, they took us one by one and made us strip down and shower one at a time, then change into the "uniform." If you don't have completely white underwear, they will replace them with disgusting gym short type things that you wear as boxers.
I was placed in a cell with nearly 30 other people, and it wasn't just a "holding tank." There were people in there that had been in there for 6+ months, but everyone was generally pretty friendly. Intimidating, but friendly. I think this area was referred to as the dorm.
I'm at work right now so I don't have enough time to write a damn book about it, but it was an eye opener. The food certainly sucks! lol

Only in Williamsburg, but I'm a chick, and I got "good behavior" for showing up on time and not causing trouble so I was in for 12 hours, didn't make me change, and didn't even have to be in the tiny holding cell til some ghetto loser mofo came in around 1am and they made me go into the lockup. In by 6pm, out by 6am. Ladies have it good...

when you get there just tell them you want to kill yourself. You will get put in your own cell and wont have to worry about Bubba.

Oh nooooo...NOT CHESAPEAKE....THAT JAIL IS BADDDD! On a serious note....Chesapeake jails are like Chesapeake...chill and peaceful.
