That industry definitely pays out some good money to the techs depending on which shop you goto. I worked in a body shop up here in NOVA where all the techs (most of whom were senior level) made about $100k+ doing bodywork.

 

Uhmm wyotech is a joke. Sure you graduate, you have companies come up there and hire you. Some usually aren't in this area, some are. I know my company goes up there and picks up kids. They come to the shop thinking to make bank but they dont. They still are unexperienced. Companies usually hire them as "apprentices" so their pay is junk. OH, yeah....Wyotech..will cost you about 40k. Waste of money.

 

I dont know if your bro is still in high school but if by chance he is, tell him to get into the vocational tech program for his city. if he already finished high school he missed a great opportunity. good luck to everyone trying to make it in this field
