Sparco pro 2000. I sat in a sparco evo and it was so tight I could barely move my shoulders...and Im 5'7 140. So I doubt you would fit anywhere near comfortably in them.

At your size the Pole Positions will likely give you more movement than you want in a track car. The SPG (and Apex.... same seat, cheaper fabric) would likely serve you better.

The Cobra composite motorsport seats (Imola S, Suzuka S) will be a nice fit for you if you like a more upright seating position.

OMP also makes VERY good stuff but I have no first-hand (ass?) experience with them.

Recaro, OMP, Bride and Cobra are the only companies who will ever get my seat money.

Damnit, I was thinking EXAS III too, I have wide shoulders for my size too so that's definantly out.

Why do you rule out Sparco? And what is OMP?

I would offer a second look to those XAXII's. Having only sat in a few bride seats (Ergo, etc) I liked the upper support but found the all of the lower halves to be a bit snug. Definately not something I would use on a road trip. however, the XAXII lower part is as open as any normal seat. Easy to get in and out of, and you can spread your legs and get comfy for a cruise. Up top will still hold you tight for on/off-ramp fun. Hell, I drove the car from Long Island to Maine, and back down to va beach with out discomfort.

I know the island is only so big, but if you're just going to weekend race, get something comfy.

Sparco is good if you only drive at night. But as soon as the sun hits Sparco fabric it's toast.

Actually it will never be raced here. There's nowhere to race here anymore other than an autoX once every few months at the stadium. I'll probably try to make one or two of those with it before I leave. Everything going into the car now is with the intention of bringing it back there and making it a dedicated 1/4 mile car. The motor Tucker's building isn't something that'll be driven on the roads.

God Damn you Dave, now I'm set on 'em. I haven't even priced them out yet, but I have a feeling they're going to be a smidge out of my price range...

Yeah but ragged Del Sol seats on beat to shit rails that don't fit the car aren't. I'm going to have to at least FIX the seats in it anyway. I'd rather just pick up some nice seats while I can afford it and do it right. I've always wanted the opportunity to build a car like this and I have it now, so I'd like to get every little detail where I want it.

Did the ferrari and maserati pictures sell you? I've never purchased aftermarket seats, but if they are good enough for those caliber of vehicles, I think they must be pretty damn good. GL with your search.

Their glass seats aren't too bad. Here's a random website with prices:

http://www.motorspot.com/seats.html

The Grip would probably suit you well. And the RS is slightly more roomy in case you want a little air once in a while.

Here's the sizing chart:

http://www.motorspot.com/seatchart.htm

Measure your ass, ribs and shoulders. If your match is in your price range you win.
