Just to clarify my previous statement. Millinium torqued my headstuds to ARP specs, which is right, ARP was at fault because their torque specs were too low. The instructions should say 75ft lbs. There have been multiple issues with heads lifting due to the wrong info that ARP put out for the evo, so I am not knocking Millinium at all. The only real issue I had was my bov was on backwards, but I fixed it before the car was even outta the lot. They did good work for me, but unfortunately not everyones experience was as good as mine.
for the bolts tensile strength and its design NOT being torque to yeild, based on its diameter ARP recomends torque values. These torque values IRCC are 75% of failure torque. Torque specs are not vehicle specific, they are bolt/stud specific. So if a head is lifting, there are problems else where causing the lifting and or some other condition which can lead to a mis-diagnosis.

The same plague went around with headbolts/studs for hondas about 9 years ago.

I'm the one that asked you if you were going AEM ems that day in the parking lot. on another note, for an SR20DET or even SR20DE engine, final torque numbers on stock headbolts are in the 100+ft/lb range and are torque to yeild; while arp headstuds for that application being 12mmx1.25 is 86ft/lbs.

this information on torque specs can be found on page 24 of ARP's catalog at http://www.arp-bolts.com/Catalog/Catalog.html i cant remember what diameter stud is in the evo. For some reason i think its a 12mm stud. I'll have to research in my EVO FSM what stock bolts are and their torque procedures.

They didn't "go under" as in went out of business. They closed do to personal reasons. They were thriving.

I have no issues with Millenium, but I've never had any work done by them. I'm friends with people who have worked there over the years or still work there.

If i felt the need to drag the buisness down and slander the people working there id post my entire ordeal. but i dont, so im not going to. Im not looking for compensation, and my work was performed by the "old" millenium but that experience was enough to make me steer clear for life. i have nothing against the current owner as a person he's a cool guy as far as im concerned but like i said, things happend and i was a dissatisfied customer.

This is not the forum for questions about a vendor (try general or regional for that).

If you have a review to add you can post it in the previous thread here: https://www.vadriven.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168673
