b-16/18/20 or h22
I would go K if you have the money. If its out of your price range then a h2b would be next in line, ( the h2b kit is around $930 depending on which year car you are putting it into but you need a little more then just a the plate to get it in the car) if that is out of your price range then a straight h with some good mounts and axles ( not ebay). The weight differnece is barely noticeable IMO between a H and a B. If you end up going h2b then the wieght differnece is like 20 lbs or so over the regualr B swap.. I hope this info helps you out and good luck on your project.
thank you for the info kyle i looked up the kswap it is a little step in $$$ so i will probly go h22 but on the tranny issue the b tranny would be sweet for the faster gear but for what i drive i think the h series will better fit my needs of alot of highway driving. i know the h22 will mate to the f22 trannys will it bolt in with swap mounts? if so could i change from hydro tranny to cable like in the 88 to 91 accords(i think they are cable) or would that just complicate the swap.
I have an H22 EG with Hasport mounts and the motor sits fine. Never had any problems and this is my second car with a Duce Duce in it. THe first one was a DC2. The parts are not harder to come by, if you look on ebay you can get them relatively cheap. I built mine from the ground up for a lot cheaper than probably 95% of the B-series guys.
The best tranny to use is the B-series Type R tranny with the H2B conversion. Its supposed to knock 3/10 of a second off of your 1/4 mile time. I used the regular H22 tranny, and they can take a beating. THey H22 Type S tranny comes with LSD, which i would recomend over the standard one because mine spins a lot, but then again mine is nowhere near stock. Also things to note it dosent really affect handling too much like a couple people stated, and i love the torque in them compared to B-series.

Besides having shitty transmission options (with the h-series stuff), I was under the assumption that the axle/drivetrain issues came from poor mount design. The h-series drivetrain doesn't line up in a civic/integra like it should when swapped. It'll work, but isn't optimal.I've actually been thinking about doing it in my ITR. I know that is sacralege, but there is lots of power to be made...even with a stock head (no porting). The H22 will put down way more torque as well.
