ever get the urge to sell your car as you get close to finishing it?
yeah i have ...currently starting on my lsx swap in my 240sx and i have thought about selling the project several times
I'll tell you what. A project car will never be done. It will suck all the money out of your account because you will always want to improve on it. As long as you can sell it for all the money you put into it or more i say keep it.
Debt is Debt. You will always have it. House payment, apartment, credit cards, girlfriend, WIFE.....ect ect.........I just sold my 240 after 4 years of owning it and putting alot of money and time into it. The car was payd off and with the money I made off of it I was able to buy one of my favorite cars ...FD. Did i pay any bills with the money NO. Even thought I told my self I was goin to do it. I'm sure I will get bored of it in a few years and move on to a NEW GTR!!!!!!

Cash is temporary but credit is for life!
But seriously that's not a good attitude to have, I have a great job that pays much more than I was making as an E-5 and almost a year later I'm still paying off debt from having this attitude. Credit is evil, If you can't afford to buy it (besides car/house), you probably don't need it or you can save for it. A lot of people live outside their means ( I did it for 8 years ) and don't think that they are.

I can absolutely relate to you on this.. I've thought of finishing up the 240 to where it's a fully certified chassis and then selling the car as a turnkey racecar after getting a season in on it.. But everytime I think of it, the fiance gets in and starts yelling at me for even thinking of selling it lol

I sunk a lot of money into my mustang to run at VIR and Summit Point. Just don't have the time on weekends to do that anymore and have listed the car for sale, just to get some money out of it to pay down the payments on the 65 Spyder GT.
Completely understand where you are coming from. Cars do not appreciate in value unless it's a collectible, really don't get money back in aftermarket mods.
