I have seen you around general booth a few times. Beautiful car! I drive a red sentra with black wheels, i gave the a thumbs up the other day if you remember.
Nope they have a radio. With a 6 disc changer, factory mini sub thing. The factory radio and speakers really aren't that bad. Also, as far as I know/remember, they all have the DCCD center diff.
Sorry bud but the 2004 STi did NOT come with a radio (ask how I know...!). They left it out for weight savings. They quickly realized that it was stupid to spend that much money on a car and not have a radio in 2005. I actually liked not wasting $1000 on a radio that could be waaay better for that kind of money. The 2004 STi's do have a different differential (suretrac) vs the 2005+ (helical) but don't let that discourage you from wanting a 2004 (they say suretrac is better in the gravel/dirt ). I have an 04 STi and driven several 05+ STi's and the differences are minimal, if you can even tell. Steering did feel a little bit better with the 05+ but nothing a set of steering rack bushings can't fix.
What you may want to look at is the bolt patterns of the hubs and interiors. 2004 = 5x100 and 2005 = 5x114.3.
BTW STi (AWD) all the way!
Edit: Oh yea, some STi's eat oil too if you're worried about that with the Z. A lot of people relieve themselves of this problem by using certain types of oil though.
