And to the individual above, I'm serious about what I say. And its your job as a parent to check out the training regiments that your child's class participates in. If it's too rough for your taste, remember, like I said about, you can always enroll him in Ballet.

I agree it's bullshit.. kid coulda quit whenever he wanted to.. He wanted to get his ass kicked to beat a record then that's on him..

I took karate when I was 12 and we used to kick the hell out of each other and the instructors used to be the ones demonstrating it to us, on us..

It's a karate class, you're going to get your ass kicked.. Guarantee it was him trying to be a hardass and now the teacher is paying for it.. eh society is going to shit..

an adult repeatedly kicking a child is not going to 'toughen him up'. and i'm sure there is nothing in the karate studio's brochure that includes these types of 'contests'.

if you think this country is too 'soft', then please take your ass to tibet or china, because if anything is wrong with this country it's that there are far too many stupid people like you.

 

the child wasnt forced under his own will to do the exercise. he felt he was up to the challenge and suffered injuries. its fucked up that the instructor got in trouble for making sure her course wasn't sub-standard to proper training. but then again she's a 3rd degree blackbelt instructor kicking the shit out of an 11 year old child. you gotta have some kind of common sense if you clearly have the advantage when it comes to the use of deadly force.
