Well i tried the screwdriver test and I couldnt figure out what to listen for! All i heard was the metal to metal type clunking noise and once the car warmed up the regular valve noise is all i heard. I can rev the engine and once I let off the gas it clunks for like to 2-3 seconds and then goes back to the normal valve ticking noise! What would rod knock sound like?!?

After revving the motor up does the idle fall below normal for a second or two? Rod knock would get louder with the more rpm the motor turns. You would know. Your car would start to sound like a lawn mower on steroids.
