what are you goals and can your current setup take it?
Will be a bad ass truck anyways... and it wont ruin the value of it because its yours. You didn't buy your transam to suit a future buyer, so why not make another Mighty Mouse creation of your own.

the only goal its not meeting right now is the mileage isnt as good as i would like. its fast enough and reliable enough

I say keep the v6. Everyone is putting an LS1 in everything and even I'm getting bored with Ls1 this and LS1 that.
