5zigens, 2g AWD GSX parts, tires, amps, etc...
I am not like any other dsm "tuner" and blame everything on the car. The car blew up because I revved it to 10k rpm, my fault. In fact my car never once had a problem on its own, always my own stupid shit that was outside stuff. It held up to 3.5 years of daily driving/over 30 autocrosses/5 track weekends, all with me beating the shit out of it. No tranny problems, good compression, hell even when I pulled off the head after revving it to 10k, the headgasket came off in one piece. These things are amazing, ive seen too many of my friends treat cars much better and fall apart.
Ill stick with this car even when there is better out there for sentimental reasons, but she is definitely a contender out there on track.
VIR is a gorgeous track but will kill your brakes if youve got any power because of so many long straights. If I didnt have my wilwoods I would have had an extra set of rotors for track and just some race pads with ducting to em. Also cooling wasnt that big of an issue until the fmic. Put in a vent, larger radiator and external oil cooler and she could last all day full throttle at 190 degrees. The time I blew her up I only got 3 laps in, misshifts for the lose, but ive been there plenty and I love the track. My still personal favorite is Summit Point though.
