Last time i checked the type r motor was b18c5and the specs on a b16 were 160hp / 111 lbs of torque. At least thats what the swap guide says

Ford turbo 2.3 200hp 240lb-ft from 1970's technology.

Go B16 all the way, you can save up for a turbo later and then you'd have a b16 turbo. Which kicks ass.
