hyosung GT250R/650R vs. kawi 250R/650R
the one i saw/saton/started was a yellow gt205R and the bike was dropped on its left side by the dealership... a lil scratch no mirror an rash on the bar end..... other thab that it was perfect... and i thought it was ok... like the quality of the paintjob wasn't the same you would find in a, lets just say a brand new gixxer....
i think you shoulda got one.... i've had mine for like a year... learned on it.. and learn everyday on it... keeps up with gixxers/R6's ect... on the twisties, minimum maint, cheap ass parts, easy to work on and upgrade... sigh... i dont think i coulda made a better choice.... weights as much as a brand new gixxer 600, torque is beautiful, VERY forgiving.. confty... not fast, but quick enogh to outride my skills, so, still gotta careful....
i do have a few compains about it tho... for example i'd like it to sit a bt higher, i would like the pegs to be like maybe one inch more torwards the back (im 6'2") i'd also like a "slicker" looking exhaust like an R6 or gixxer 600.. ALso, i would like for the entire fairing to sit 2-3 inches lower...and a steering stabilizer wouuld make me happy to

I got mine june last year and ready to toss it in favor of a 600 or liter bike.
I only pay 80 bucks a month for it.. honestly I could just keep it and get another bike.

I've got an 06 kawi 650 and I have been happy with it so far. Hardly any maintenance whatsoever. It is fuel injected so it starts right up with no choke or anything. I have over 12k miles on it and nothing has broke. It does have some fairing buzz and the seat sucks if you are into an aggressive seating position. It handles well. The stock tires leave a lot to be desired. The aftermarket is small for it right now. The handlebars suck but there is a couple different options to replace the stock ones. The suspension is expensive to alter correctly i.e. lower, tune in. OVerall a good bike for the price.
