The worst part about selling Porsches...
I had an old man fucking with me in his boxster. This is when I still had my civic with a gsr swap. He launched at the light when I had a construction barrier right in front of me, then I was behind him. When we were side by side and the car blocking him moved he punched it again. I kept neck and neck with him, gave him the finger and pulled on him hard. When I was slowing down for the next like he cut me off almost crashing into the car in front of us and burnt out in front of me. when we got to the next light he wouldn't even look at me.
It was a base boxster not an s.

Ahahaha at Boxster drivers looking down their noses. I can understand someone driving a NICE Porsche looking down at a Corvette, although it's their own ignorance, but a Boxster? C'mon!
The Boxster is not a drag racer, that's for sure, especially older base Boxsters which don't have a whole lot of horsepower (201hp for 98/99 IIRC). I do find it funny when people don't realize this
I'm sure that Boxster would have handled far better than your civic on a road course, though, even with a horsepower disadvantage- better braking, better suspension, and all around better handling.
The latest Boxster S has 291hp and is definitely peppier, but it's still not a 600hp supercar, it's just a really fun little roadster. Also, it's not a pure-up performance car like many of the budget performance cars are- it races like a race car, but drives like a luxury car. I'm sure my Boxster S would be a little faster if I removed the subwoofer and spare tire and amplifier and heated automatic electric seats and a whole bunch of other stuff like that, but it's my DD as well as my track car and I want it to drive like a Porsche, not an S2000.

I had trouble getting help at the Chevy dealer when I went to test-drive a Vette- I figured it was because I apparently don't fit the corvette driver profile. Guess I'm not old enough or white-trash enough?
OTOH, the Saturn dealer was all over me when I expressed my interest in the Sky, lol...
Porsche dealer seemed plenty happy to get me the keys when I said I wanted to buy used. But then again, I was coming from work that time, and dressed like a professional.
