First Car, Ideas and Questions.
Eg hatch would be a great avenue for you OP. So much potential in those cars with the right amount of work. No matter how much I hate them.
Thank you all for your thoughts and ideas. I plan on having a fun DD/Sleeper. I will look up on turbos etc. I wouldnt mind buying an already swapped car though, I mean who wouldnt lol. Also I wont even be looking for actual cars untill summer, but ill be looking up on them aswell as mods. And for the pointless posts..What ever..lol.
Still taking any thoughts on my ideas. Thank Very Much To Everyone With Helpfull Posts

He stated pretty clearly that he wants to work on it himself...
I would say get a decent car that doesn't need a whole lot and then do what you can with it. I wouldn't go too crazy on it though. Remember, you never get back what you put in and You more than likely won't keep it for more than a year or two anyway, no matter how much you think you love it!
Good luck. I remember those days

Im sorry but Im the wrong one, I should have stated that it dosnt matter whether the car comes swapped or not, there will be work done to it myself with or without. Sorry about not posting that.
Wow, and than he can have a big giant chocolate chip cookie for his troubles?? How about he saves the couple thousand and avoids the hassle off the swap.
Hey do this, when you go look at the car, have it professionally checked out, and once it does, you have a nice already swapped eg. He might feel accomplished swapping it himself, but most people dont have the resources or time, and most of the time, its easier to just get it worked on professionally. Labor on honda's is very cheap.

He wouldnt be saving a few grand at all. It'd probably be about the same. And stuff like that is how you learn, which is what he said he wanted to do in the first place. For instance, i bought a stock srt-4 from the factory.....saved up for bolt ons and wheels, springs, etc. I had so much pride with that car. A few years down the road, i got a good deal on a gsr swapped hatch. It wasnt the same, i felt like i was driving someone elses car everywhere.....
It is so much cheaper to buy a car that has already been modded correctly. Shit, I probably saved 5-6 grand easy, buying my rsx with the mods it came with. Just take the time to find the correct car.
I see what you're saying, but i just dont agree. I even had a turbo kit that i had purchased for it, ready to put on. I just didnt have the pride i felt from building the car from the ground up.
