i love this s2k!
i can honestly say i would pick it over an sti right now...but that's just me.
the softness of the car shouldn't be too much of an issue with some changes of parts...
the only thing i'm wondering is if the new s2k will outrun the old ones...

here's a pic of the '04 dropped.. maybe this will help you decide... who cares if suspension is soft, that can easily be fixed.. look at the civic, it comes with one of the softest suspensions out there, nothing a good set of coilovers can't fix...

i'm liking that interior
where do those things start making torque? i've never driven one or really talked to anyone that owns one, but is it a street friendly car? do you have to rev the snot out of it to get any useable power?

Does anyone know if Honda bumped up the displacement like they were supposed to? I think the rumor was a increase to 2.2L for better torque, and a jump from 250HP from 237.. Don't know when that will come into effect though..
That may have something to do with the slight difference in useable RPM..

yes it's a 2.2. It's the same basic motor but stroked. Thats why the lower redline. There is no jump in hp but there is a jump in torque and both peaks have been signifigantly reduced as well as it having a much broader powerband.
We'll see, like I said before it's gonna take a good test drive before I decide to get it. I really don't think the performance is gonna be all the different from the current models. One deciding factor will be the drivetrain. If it's beefed up at all I might just go with an '04. Like I've said before, even if this one posts much better numbers it's all about fun to drive for me. If it's faster but less fun to drive....I'll be keeping my old one or getting an STi.
