People Who were in the Scene when Vertex Was Around Look
Well I was really young at the time and didn't really talk/act like I knew anything about cars so I think they were just bullshitting me. Either way it was dumb because I probably would have spent some money with them if they hadn't done that.
hahaha steve always hooked me up. I remember i went one time and we played a game of poker (i was 16) and didnt know shit of poker. He said if i won he would let me pick anything i wanted on the wall next to his tv.
His lobby was real chill had the tv with the playstation and a bunch of turbo parts hanging from wire and of course instead of a coffee table hehas his orange civic in front of you always with the lambo doors up, lol, damn this was like almost 5 years ago now.
But then again, I think I put a bit more of a challenge towards him when we did play. Can't wait till that fool gets back from Korea.
he sold the shop to these Thai guys. They called it VIP Tuning or something. I dont know if they are still around, but they've done absolutely no advertising since their opening what so ever lol.
I don't even think that VIP Tuning is there anymore. When I first starte going there in 99-00 Steve was great always hooking me up. Then Several years later I bought a Carbon Fiber and when I went to go pick it up he would not let me borrow a wrench just to install the hood. That kinda of piissed me off because I have known Steve For a long time. So I after that I just stopped going there.
vertex was bought from steve by Q and his friend (apparently great with hondas but wouldn't touch too much else), they hired some kids who had no idea what they were doing to more or less do the "business" side and renamed the shop.. and now its all closed down... nice short story that sums up the last like 3 years
wow, that took me back to a long time ago. I remember when steve and alvin were in fairfax circle. Miss the old days, when it was actually fun doing this stuff.
