I've never heard that. I've actually read about and seen them respond well to mods. I know that an upgraded ECU makes a big improvement on them. Curry's custom makes ECU's for Audis, I believe.

I wonder if the one at Checkard Flag was the one that was there 6 months ago when I was looking at them. Kinda makes you wonder why it has been there so long. Just make sure you do a check on it first. Just my $0.02

This is just FYI - I'm not pushing a car sale (I'm not in drag VA to sell cars) - I handle Checkered Flag's Internet Department, but I did check on the 2001 Silver S4 with 28K miles we have and it looks like we do have too much money in it and she is starting to age, so a deal probably could be worked out at our Audi store. It isn't the one we had 6 months ago - the owner of Scotty Quix bought that one. He just chipped it last month and claims he is pushing about 350 HP! I've seen him get on it, and it is fast! So if you see a white S4, think twice before trying to take him!

 

I noticed they are having a "Red Tag" sale, but some of their BMW's are overpriced.
