AIK in Virginia Beach
My understanding is that the city either owns that property or already have plans for what they do (and subsequently don't) want developed in that area, and indoor karting was in the don't category. Property is also priced thru the roof as a result of the town centers current devolpment, making it not viable

but back on target, im over there by the old lynnhaven theater 3 times a week minimum. wife is gonna be pissed at all the AIK lines in the bank account! LOL
Overhead is one of the biggest concerns and main reasons for moving. Going to a smaller building signiicantly cuts down on many items (rent, utilities, personel, etc.) but heading to the beach is logical as roughly 40% of the members are in the beach, not to mention tourists. Combine the two and the end result is better profits to not only stay afloat in this economy, but make more money for future ventures
Most likely, the Portsmouth store will close when the move occurs...
As for "shoulda moved here, or there" everything in the beach is expensive, but everything was considered. Many a months of looking went into this and for now, the lynhaven location best fit the wants and needs for the small company. 5 years was spent in portsmouth, it's always possible that they may out grow the lynhaven store in a few years as well

Honestly, I'll check out the new place once its running, but I already would usually only come out on the super track as I thought the regular course was too short.
I was also thinking the old amc would be good.
But hey- if someone can put in a word- the old HQ by town center.
I remember the photoshoot in there was fucking rad.
City has the property.
There are plans to make the independence vb blvd intersection the "Center" of town center, expanding through ruddfuckers and all the pembroke buildings
As for the HQ building, it is being torn down i believe, along with all those other shit hole buildings on that side and town center will continue growing that way
*edit*: bwell beat me to it lol. that HQ building is a piece of shit anyway. it would be a electrical nightmare for anyone trying to make something in there judging by what we found when we were in there shooting lol

Seeing how the city has already run out of money for that project (they were supposed to be building condo's across from Ruth's Chris, and studio 56 hasn't even sold all their properties yet) I'm curious to as how this is going to happen/what else they could put there.

It's not off the table as far as I know - a lot of changes are possible and many are already in the works. New management, new karts, new staff, new mechanic, new location, etc. But I don't know of any certain changes in pricing
