I would recommend just taking it to a reputable shop and tell them what you want done. It would only be 4 cuts and welds, it should be THAT expensive. It should at least be cheaper then buying a new one.

Same problem that i had on my 93 da with jdm b16 swap. I eventually got tired of changing headers and went to lowes found a semi thick sheet of metal and i welded it on along with bolts and a steel belt. I wish i had pics of it cuz it looked pretty good but yea the pic up top ^^^ thats wat it looked like. almost 3 years ago i had 1 of the lowest DA around here and thats wat i had to do from having to buy new headers. Car was to low to the point where i cracked the rear cross member and had to replace it which was a bitch! Just experiment with it. If your worried about your oil pan just make another skid plate!

that looks to hang as low as mine now... the crossmember is not an issue at all.

i've had a bunch of people pm me about it... allmost all aftermarket traction bars hang lower then the stock cross member

edit: it may be slightly higher. i'll have to check it out.

i have been thinking about the skid plate option sence that dude brought it up; i do want to go lower though... and with a skid plate i would have even less clearence

the oil pan i haven't had to worry about; seeing as my header is working pretty hard to protect that now

well i started a WTB thread looking for a stock or aftermarket 4-2-1 header; so if i can get one local for a decent price me and mike(disheeki546) will be making a skidplate for it, and maybe shortening it a little bit to bring it closer to the pan.

i'll make sure to take a couple pics.

here's the WTB thread if anybody wants to get rid of their old stock one

I vote for skid plate. I believe they came stock on ITR headers, or was an option.

i had to make a "custom header" for my ls vtec crx, it was a bitch, but it worked great. get a torch, some good piping, a grinder/ cut of wheel and a welder. its kinda a trial and error thing, i got mine tucked up real nice after a few hours of cutting and welding
