I know several people that have trouble with wheat products and it never shows as an allergy when they get tested for it.
Also you may wanna try cutting out anything with onions in it - it's a trrigger for a good friend of mine who used to have some dabilitating migranes like yours.

I get migraines myself and I'm not exactly sure what triggers it. It just seems to come at random. I've only had one to really scare the hell out of me though. I had a really bad one in combination with missing a meal that I couldn't see anything unless it moved. Not so much as I was going blind, because I could my surroundings, but if you were walking and stopped, I couldn't see you anymore. MRI's show nothing unusual.

I do like the wheat bread! That BLT last week was white though. Haven't really had much of anything. I'll have to check some of the stuff I've been able to eat and see what the ingredient list is comprised of. Wheat is hidden in all kinds of foods. I really need to start a food diary and get this shit under control.

In case anyone was curious about what the Doctor said today......... No need for the MRI again. Yet. Going to give the Clonodine a few more weeks for me to adjust to it. I have to go ahead and force myself to eat as many small meals as possible. Down to 141lbs. Basically just power through the nausea and keep the Demerol near if I have an episode. Clonodine has been the least severe in side effects. We're both hoping that once the weather half way stays cool and doesn't fluctuate too much, I'll see some real relief. Again, time tells all. I'm still interested in what some of you may find out that others do and take to get relief.

i will see my brother in law this weekend, sorry for the wait haha. whatever they finally came up with for him is working great. No pain meds, no more special diet, no more not being able to eat, no more MRI's or other tests that do nothing.
I will also find out what doctor he sees as im sure that would be a big help.

I just wanted to bring this back to the top and ask if anyone has even remotely heard of a good Neurologist? I'm going through my HealthKeepers network and there are too many to try and research. I was hoping one of you may have a lead or have a source to ask. I.E: family member, friend or significant other. I've been reading and researching some of them but, none are sticking out as more qualified than another. My GP has come to the determination that I'm having cluster headaches ( http://www.answers.com/cluster%20headache ). Here is some info on what I have been feeling. Without going into why, I'm just not confident in my GP and his recommendations any longer. Had another nasty one yesterday that sent me puking and therefore could not sleep it off. After several demerol, headed to the Doc and got a shot of toradol and phenergan to only help enough to stop the nausea and relax as toradol is an anti-inflammatory.
I'm really just looking to see if anyone can point me in the right direction. I know alot of people but, I'm having no luck with this situation. Appreciate the possible help guys.

I cannot relate to what you are going through, but sure hope you find an answer and a remedy. It must be a helpless feeling.

If you have not already seen this list, it is worth checking out.

http://health.usnews.com/health/best...ital-rankings/

The hospitals I originally thought of show up on this list...that being Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, and Duke.
Maybe start at the #1 rated place and start a dialogue with someone in their Neurology Dept. if at all possible.

Hopefully this helps.
Good luck.

I don't have a rec, and this is a little off topic... but I saw a program about LSD very recently. Neurologists were using it to successfully relieve cluster headaches in a remarkable fashion. Out of 6 six subjects dosed, one was obviously a surgar-pilled control, 5 of the 6 experienced relief. I'm certainly not telling you to take LSD, just that it's use in that role was unexpected.
