Do B20 turbo they are fast as shit as long as you don’t put a big ass turbo on it. I say if you go with that setup get a garret GT2871R you can buy them used for $200 and rebuild them for $50. With that you will get fast spool and pull power to redline. 10 psi and you will be pooping on everyone just whatever you do don’t get a super T70 like every other guy. They are fully spooled by 5K, also don’t get eBay/china made turbo they go bad within 12 months most of the time. You should also look at what kind of money you will make in the future because turbo cars are not reliable so if you short on cash in the near future I would say b20 V-Tec. They are kick-ass motor in DA's. With that said if it’s B20 V-tec just do b16 tranny, and b16 head.

there is absolutely no reason to vtec if you wanna boost. any vtec motor vs a stock ls or b20 will have the same outcome... the vtec is gonna spin tires and the ls/b20 is gonna take off first and get the head start but then the more powerful car will pull....

SoOoOoOo... boost
just do it right and dont half ass it. the same with any car

dont listen to this guy. just do it right if you want to take this route. you dont need it sleeved unless you are doing INSANE compression without forged pistons and rods and arp studs and proper tuning. a block guard with coolant holes would be good too
ight so b20 head with ls bottom sounds good yea wat i have in my car now is b20 head on ls bottom

you guys are giving this kid some shitty advice...... fuck a b20. sounds like the original poster, wants something fast and realiable. with that said the obvious choice is a b16, vtec and boost are fine. I don't know why some people are posting up mis-information saying non-vtec is better for boost, for any retard that thinks otherwise your a complete retard. we all own FWD cars they will spin regardless get over it and learn to drive. don't get a ls tranny unless you love 3rd gear pulls to 120mph. b16 or gsr trans will suffice. you have a DA, so it would be cheapest to go with a cable jdm y1 or j1 b16 trans. the b16 is rev happy, and will hold 8,500rpm pulls all day and the almost perfect rod/stroke ratio in my opinion helps alot with longevity of the motor. plus blow one up and the bottom ends go for cheap. I have 2 DA's and one that's boosted, running a b16 it's def no slouch and their aren't many cars that can just pull up on me for a easy kill

b20s have the same heads as ls. unless you have the rare p8r b20 head, but not likely.

i say get a v8 from my experience a honda especially a boosted honda can never lose. well not lose fair anyway there is always someone making excuses like it was low boost vtec was broke or they couldnt get traction. It may be a nice quick car never the less but if your building a race car its fail.
