I do and I don't. I had to have a car and I got mine for invoice with 0% financing. I got laid off not long after that, so I would not have bought a car if I waited. I would love to get my hands on that new engine. Pretty amazing coming from an American manufacturer.

Plus it has 400 hp and doesn't have pushrods.

Ironic?

I'm only playing with you, GM4B

What's ironic? Ford and Dodge both make cars (GT/Viper) that are just as powerful/fast/sporty. But the cost to own and maintain those vehicles is outrageous, especially when compared to owning a corvette.

I have heard this too but maybe I am missing something on how a 11:1 compression ratio and cast Al pistons is "built for boost". It does have forged rods and most likely a decent crank although Ford's spec sheet says nothing about it.

You're missing the point. That's why the "joke" was directed to Cobra4B and no one else .

Simple piston swap is an easy fix for that. The important part is the strength of the other components and the way the head breathes. I wouldn't be shocked if you see a few 500whp n/a builds in the next year. The guys on the Mustang forum I frequent have a way of extracting crazing amount of power from non boosted engines.

When somebody says "built for boost" to me, I think bolt on a blower/turbo and your done, not having to swap internal parts.

Lazy bastard!
Build for boost means strong block and crank with a great flowing head. At least that's what I think of, but I enjoy playing with internals. You could still run low boost with 11:1 compression. It all depends on the strength of the existing internals and how well you can tune.
