I saw the article in 5.0 mag with the KB where they found the limit with the stock oil pump. they had to replace the crank pulley to get to 18psi and that did something that ate the pump and I think that was around 700whp or something like that.

Is the limiting factor the turbo size? Also, what updates to the fuel system are you going to make besides the injectors? I thought they'd be bigger then 47#s
The limiting factor for turning up the boost real high is obviously some fuel system limitations as someone else posted in a video. Also the other limiting factor is some concerns with the #8 piston going, but many argue this has been an issue due to a result of poor tuning. The injectors I have should be the 47lb injectors Hellion provides in this kit. They are rated at 52lbs though at different pressures. These are the same injectors they offer with the 76mm turbo that boasts 640+ rwhp/750+rwtq on just 12 pounds.

The issues with the oil pump I've heard is it is cheaply made. I have not heard about any real horsepower limitations with the stock oil pump as much as it just breaking in some cases at higher power setups. I heard the pump metals were made out of just metal dust (leftovers I heard, sort of the same idea of the cheap IKEA furniture made out of woodsaw dust). Supposedly this came from someone with Ford that stated that Ford did it to save money. As a result some people have broken theirs it seems. I'm unaware if the Boss 302 uses the same oil pump pieces. It'd be interesting to research the differences.

My turbo is limited to about 750 horsepower.

As for fuel system limitations, BBR is now offering a race fuel system setup. Claims of 1000+rwhp support. If I ever went crazy with it (800+rwhp zone), I'd be dumping some serious dough into the car. I'm mentally no where near wanting that sort of power. I'm not really concerned with anything this kit is going to be able to deliver for me for the next couple years.

All in all, the turbo, fuel system, and oil pump (based on when people are breaking it) seem to be limited right around the same power as each other.

It was in the picture in the first post, but it's a Precision Turbo 67mm (6775).

Interested in this build for sure. I looked at the Hellion kit before I purchased the Whipple for mine but the piping under the A-Arms is a deal breaker for me. That and the issues with some of the manual transmissions. If I had problems down the road I wanted to still have my warranty if I need it. Once the warranty is up, hello smaller pulley, clutch and new tune.

Ford rates their injectors at a fuel pressure of approx. 40 psig. The 5.0 fuel system runs at about 60 psig, hence the 52#/hr rating. These are the same injectors included in the Whipple and Rousch kits.
