Food banks/dinners. Wife and I volunteered at a dinner last year on turkey day, helped prep/serve meals. Talking to some of those people, they had hit absolute rock bottom and yet were the nicest/most polite people you could talk to. Good conversation as well. See if there is a church/place doing that tomorrow and volunteer. It will make you feel better for doing it AND give you good conversation (oh yeah, free food too )

Yeah change is something your brother has to want. I've hit rock bottom before and managed to get myself out. I don't ever want to be there again
My bad I forgot about the alcohol part of your life. I know when I grill food I drink a beer so thats why I suggested it. Glad you are doing better.

I still drink, which as helped a lot with my drinking problem, as weird as that sounds.

I've made rules which I follow religiously:
+I don't keep beer/liquor/wine at my place.
+I'm big into craft beer buying/trading/storing and they aren't the type of beers you pound 12 of at a party. It turned into an awesome hobby of mine. It also helps me appreciate the craft that went into making that drink.
+ I've learned that masculinity isn't found in a shot glass

All these things have made me into a better person.

Congrats. Most of my alcohol consumption is in the spring/summer time. But now I'd rather carry a buzz and keep it going an watch others get drunk/stupid.

I'm a fan of fat tire beer right now

Fat Tire is good.

If you haven't tried O'Connor you should. It's brewed right here in Norfolk on 25th st. My favorite is Green Can.
